The Penn Ohio Wooden Money Collectors is a numismatic club specializing in collecting wooden money, such as wooden nickels and wooden "flats", with members nationwide.  The club was re-organized in 2003, replacing the Penn Ohio Wooden Money Traders, to acknowledge the broader interests of members in collecting wooden money. 

Meetings are now held monthly at the Middlefield Ohio Public Library**. The 2011 Annual Show and Swap Meet will be held on August 12-13th at the Red Maple Inn, 14707 S. Cheshire Street in Burton, Ohio 44021 (phone: 888-646-2753).  There was a record attendance there in 2010 for this Show.  Call to make your room reservations now!

**NOTE: Monthly Meetings are held on the 4th Saturday of each month at 1:00 pm at the Middlefield Public Library, at 16167 E High Street (Route 87), in Middlefield Ohio, just east of the square on Route 87.  Note that the November "Holiday" meeting is on the 3rd Saturday of November, and there is no December meeting.  Details of future meetings will be announced in the monthly newsletter and on this Web Site.

The April 2011 meeting will be held on the fifth Saturday of the month, April 30th, due to the Easter holiday.

Members enjoy a monthly newsletter, highlighting club activities, members news items, wooden money facts, auction items and sales/advertising.

Penn Ohio Wooden Money Collectors has released several series of wooden nickels featuring Lighthouses of the Great Lakes, including Lighthouses of Lake Eire, Lighthouses of Lake Ontario, and three part sets of Lighthouses of Lake Huron and of Lake Michigan.  An Annual Show Wooden Nickel is released at the Annual Show and Swap Meet. 

POWMC has released the Lighthouses of Lake Michigan as a three part set of wooden nickels.  Parts 1, 2 and 3 (each 34 lighthouse wooden nickels) are now available for $20 for each part, shipping included.   Lighthouses of Lake Superior are being produced in a two part set of 44 wooden nickels each, and are available for purchase for $25 for each part.  All five Great Lakes Lighthouse series are now available.  See our WOODEN NICKELS page for ordering information.
